To all Mail Tracking Customers:
Hurricane MILTON will be impacting a large swath of central Florida. We can't predict the exact ZIP Codes or to what extent they will be impacted. The USPS will send alerts as they know more. They have taken the precaution to send the following message:
Southern Area – Florida 2 District
3-Digit ZIP Code Areas: 335, 336, 337, 338, 339, 341, 342, 346
Temporarily Suspended
EFFECTIVE: Tuesday 10/8/24 at 2:00pm
At 2:00pm all retail and delivery operations for facilities in the 335, 336, 337, 338, 339, 341, 342 and 346 3-Digit ZIP Code Areas will be temporarily suspended until further notice due to Hurricane Milton.
No drop shipments will be accepted. No alternate sites are available.
The SOP for the USPS is to hold the mail delivery until safe to do so. If any areas are severely impacted preventing the delivery of mail, the USPS provides an alternate pick-up location for residents to still get their mail.
These are two extremely valuable, live monitoring tools the USPS makes publicly available. Just click on the heading.
- USPS National Map – This overlays live weather conditions and its impact (visually) to every USPS processing facility using a simple blue / red color coding to identify impacted areas. There is also a number of layers you can add in the top right corner and includes a user guide if you want to learn more. You can also click on any facility to drill into details.
- USPS Service Alert Homepage – This is more of a factual update of specific zones impacted at the processing or local delivery unit level. This USPS updates this regularly.
Our team will also monitor the story within the tracking data and will be ready to answer any questions as we also think of the families impacted during this time.
Thank You,
