Extreme wildfires continue across Washington and Oregon, and now Idaho, which has resulted in road closures and short-notice evacuations affecting tens of thousands of residents, including some Postal employees.
At this time, only a limited number of USPS facilities are experiencing operational impacts; however, similar wildfire conditions are expected to continue this week. USPS is proactively notifying industry partners of the potential for broader processing, transportation, and delivery disruptions and will continue to closely monitor developments, particularly in eastern Washington, including the Spokane area. Site-specific alerts will be issued as impacts occur.
