The National Weather Service has issued alerts related to a strengthening September nor’easter bringing the threat of coastal flooding from North Carolina to New York. The nor’easter is forecast to continue into New England with the threat of damaging winds, power outages and heavy rain through Sunday, September 27, 2026.
Given the current forecast, the Postal Service anticipates possible delivery impacts and is monitoring the situation and proactively adjusting where possible to minimize service disruptions.
